Show Report - Philadelphia Sports Card and Memorabilia show - Sept 2019

    in General Discussions

Note: this is NOT the Philly Nonsport Card show

I stopped by to check this out on Sept 13th. This show is held at the Valley Forge Casino Resort - just north west of Philadelphia. https://phillyshow.com

The Good - Parking is easy and free, show admission $8, good food available and there's a Casino!

The Bad - there are about 150 baseball card dealers - a few have a binder or two of nonsport cards and a few boxes of relatively newer packs (Dick Tracy etc). I saw only one nonsport wax pack from the 1960s - a GAI 7.5 Comic Book Foldees which the dealer proudly told me was marked down from $500 to only $350. What a deal! I must have had my "Born Yesterday" beacon illuminated!

I probably will not be going back to this one!
