Hi guys! And thanks for the invite Mike!
I love the site and I’ve been drooling over those photos from the last few shows, I‘ll make it over to one soon!
My name‘s Carl and I started collecting Topps UK bubblegum cards and memorabilia a couple of years ago after I found my old Battlestar Galactica and Superman cards in my parents loft. They brought back all those childhood memories and I just had to start collecting again!
My first goal - to get full boxes of my old Topps favorites!
The wax packs I bought as a child were UK versions all manufactured by Topps in Ireland but when I started researching the factory and it’s UK releases I was amazed at how little information was available!
I couldn’t find photos let alone items!
So to showcase my Topps UK finds and all my other bubblegum card related purchases Ive started my own YouTube channel and Instagram page ‘Wax Packin’
So please stop by and take a look and maybe subscribe if you like what you see!
Keep on WAXIN’ 👍😎
Carl.
Hi Carl and welcome!
I'm glad to stopped by to say "hello". Like you, we're just getting started. Hopefully we'll collaborate on some projects together! I agree with Wax Pack Dude. I don't know much about UK trading cards but would love to learn more. Can you post some pictures of your favorites. I'm officially nominating you to be our UK expert! I think I can add badges to the members page. What title do you want Dude?
Hey there Carl,
Greeting from the colonies!
I found your site and will begin to look at your videos tonight. Well done! Your videos are really professional and I subscribed!
There are just not enough people posting about nonsport packs. We very much appreciate your knowledge and advice.
I corresponded with an eBay seller in the UK named Red Bat about Love Initial stickers - he only had the one in his personal collection - I'm still looking for oddball 60s stuff.
The national show and the Philly Nonsport shows are fantastic - so many cards you have never seen before all in one place! Highly recommended!
Welcome to the forum Carl. I generally only collect US issues, but I am constantly finding myself wanting to pull the trigger on some of that topps Ireland/UK stuff. Maybe you can show off your pick ups here and it will get me motivated. Glad to see the forum expanding international.
